The NCS (Natural Color System) system provides a structured method for conveying colors in a universally understood manner. Each color is assigned a distinct NCS notation, which elucidates its relationship to the primary colors (yellow, red, blue, and green), as well as black and white, in terms of blackness, whiteness, and chromaticness.

Through its NCS code, the system delineates the proportion of each component present in a color, facilitating a comprehensive description of color across various material surfaces and ensuring precise color replication. The NCS Colourpin app streamlines the process of defining and exploring colors.

By downloading the NCS Colourpin app, users can promptly commence organizing and cataloging colors. The app provides detailed color information in the nearest NCS notation, along with corresponding translations into CMYK, RGB, L*a*b*, and lightness values for every pinned color.

The iOS version of the app is compatible with iPhone models from 5 onwards and iPad devices from the 3rd generation onwards.
Additional device compatibility may be possible; however, Bluetooth version 4.1 is required.
